Original vintage World War Two Home Front propaganda poster - For progress in the future Save now - featuring stylised montage artwork by the British magazine and book illustrator and graphic designer Eric Fraser (1902-1983) depicting different materials labelled - fabrics steel concrete coal wood - with images of an industrial factory with metal pipes and tubes, a hand emerging from a dark cave reaching out to vegetables growing from the ground, wooden shapes cut out like a plane with silhouettes of trees and shapes of a telephone and chair, a red dress on a roll of cloth on the side with the title and rest of the text below - from the Original by Eric Fraser RI. Fraser was known for his illustrations for the Radio Times, Everyman's Library book series and J.R.R. Tolkien's Folio Society edition of The Lord of the Rings. Issued by the National Savings Committee. Printed for HM Stationery Office by Fosh and Cross Ltd, London. Good condition, restored paper loss in bottom right corner, restored tears, restored creasing, minor staining, trimmed bottom edge, paper skimming, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
