Original vintage desktop advertising standee poster for The Coventry Cycle Chain featuring a great design by the notable British graphic designer Abram Games (Abraham Gamse; 1914-1996) depicting a cyclist wearing a suit and tie in red and yellow riding towards the viewer on a bicycle with the diagonal text box diagonally below the bike wheel, also in red and yellow with the RC pegasus / winged horse logo Renold Chains Limited along the bottom. The sticker on the back shows a hand and cleaning cloth with the request - In our mutual interest... please assist in maintaining the Sales Appeal of this showcard by wiping with a damp cloth from time to time. Established in 1879 as Hans Renold Co.; in 1930 Renold merged with the Coventry Chain Co. Ltd. (since 1896); in 1954 the innovative company become Renold Chains Ltd and is now one of the oldest leading chain manufacturers in the world. Fair condition, staining, creasing, laminated and backed on board with kick stand.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
