The Seven Year Itch Marilyn Monroe Germany 1966
Original vintage movie poster for the 1966 German re-release of the 1955 romantic comedy The Seven Year Itch (German title: Das Verflixte 7. Jahr) directed by Billy Wilder and starring Marilyn Monroe, Tom Ewell and Evelyn Keyes. Colourful design by Dorothea Fischer-Nosbisch (1921-2009) featuring a pop-art style collage of Marylin Monroe set against a deep blue background with the text printed inside the shape of the white dress, made famous in the scene when Monroe is standing on a subway grate as her white dress is blown upwards by a passing train, a scene which became one of the most notable images of the 20th century. Very good conditions, folds.

FAQs
More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
