Original vintage movie poster for the animated film The Beatles Yellow Submarine starring Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and directed by George Dunning. Colourful poster featuring a hand-drawn cartoon style image of the Beatles at the top with the title in psychedelic lettering and a yellow submarine in the centre on a blue background with the credit text at the bottom and other fun images including a band playing music and purple characters holding out apples with more stylised text: "It's all in the mind y'know!" George Harrison - Apple Films presents and King Features production - The forces of good! The forces of evil! - and the tagline inside a green apple: A dozen Beatle songs (this first poster version was replaced by a second version as one of the Beatle songs was cut from the movie). Artwork by the illustrator and designer Heinz Edelmann (1934-2009) noted for his work as the artistic director for Yellow Submarine. Excellent condition, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
