India Speaks Trash Horror
Original vintage movie poster for the 1949 re-release by Film Classics Inc. of the 1933 adventure film India Speaks (aka Bride of the East) "India… Mother of 10,000 Sins!" combining documentary and travelogue programmes, produced by Walter A. Futter and directed, narrated and starring Richard Halliburton (as himself). Colourful design featuring various images, including a Buddha sculpture at the top and a lady lying in front of palace buildings at the bottom, with smaller images on the right side accompanied by text, including a girl of twelve taken in marriage; a fight for supremacy between a lion and a tiger; white girls being sacrificed to Buddha; cattle worshipped like gods; and vampire bats spreading terror, the title text in stylised red and white letters in the centre. Litho in USA. Good condition, folded as issued, minor tears in margins and folds, creases.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
