Original vintage lithograph cinema poster for a German feature film, Gauner im Frack (Crooks in Tails), about two brothers who make a profitable real estate deal in the Cote d'Azur and receive a cheque for 100,000 francs. They meet an attractive girl in Monte Carlo who is accompanied by a con man pretending to be a baron. One of the brothers looses the cheque in a card game to the girl but she falls in love with the other brother and they live happily ever after. Fantastic image of the elegant, well dressed lady wearing gloves and jewels at a roulette table in a casino with the gentlemen lined up behind her in black tie (tuxedos). Itala Film production starring Camilla Horn, Paul Klinger and Karl Martell. Nazi censorship stamp on the top right corner, printed by Plakatkunst Eckert, Berlin. Good condition, repaired folds, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
