Original vintage movie poster for the Argentinian release of the British spy film Funeral in Berlin released in 1966 as a sequel to The Ipcress File, directed by Guy Hamilton and starring Michael Caine as the Cold War secret agent Harry Palmer alongside Paul Hubschmid, Oscar Homolka and Eva Renzi. Great Pop Art inspired design with the dominating figure of Michael Caine pointing a gun towards the viewer above images of a yellow car driving over a passport onto a bridge, a fight scene on the left and a young lady wearing a red dress sitting on a bed facing Michael Caine on the right, set against a white background with the text above and below in stylised red and black letters, a small coffin breaking the blue border on the right above the credit text along the bottom margin. Lithography by Fenix, Buenos Aires. Excellent condition, restored folds, minor staining, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
