Rare rolled original vintage movie poster for the classic science fiction film by George Lucas - The Saga Continues Star Wars Return of the Jedi - directed by Richard Marquand and starring Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Frank Oz as Yoda, David Prowse/James Earl Jones as Darth Vader, Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO and Kenny Baker as R2-D2 with music by John Williams featuring a sci-fi image of the main characters and scenes from the film including Luke Skywalker holding a lightsaber, the Death Star and Jabba the Hutt's Sail Barge with the iconic title text on the starry space background above and rest of the credits below. This first release UK quad poster for Episode VI designed by the English artist and illustrator Ronald William "Josh" Kirby (1928-2001) is the first version that excludes an Ewok that was added later next to Han Solo. Printed in England by Lonsdale and Bartholomew Ltd, Nottingham. Issued by National Screen Service Ltd. Horizontal. Good condition, folds, creasing, very small paper loss on bottom edge, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
