Original vintage movie poster for the Australian release of an independent American adventure science fiction film Robinson Crusoe on Mars "A lone U.S. astronaut pitted against all the odds beyond this earth! One adventure in a million that could happen - tomorrow!" based on the 1719 novel Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe and directed by Byron Haskin and starring Paul Mantee, Victor Lundin and Adam West. Colourful sci-fi design featuring a great artwork depicting the stranded astronaut (Paul Mantee) in his spacesuit with Mona the Woolley Monkey sitting on his shoulder, helping Friday (Victor Lundin), with the remains of the spaceship on the side and alien UFO spaceships flying overhead across the deep red sky, planet Earth visible in the background and two small vignettes depicting scenes from the film below - Angry Martian Fireballs Pursue Him Fiercely Across Awesome Craters! Gasping His Last Oxygen Till He Stumbles on Life Giving Bloodstones! - and a red label on the right certifying that "This film is scientifically authentic... it is only one step ahead of present reality!" with the title above in bold yellow letters. Printed in Australia by Robert Burton Pty., Ltd., Sydney. Very good condition, folded as issued, minor creases in margins.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
