Original vintage advertising poster for Rootes Group, manufacturer of Humber, Heelman, Sunbeam, Thrupp & Maberly, Commer, Karrier brand of cars, trucks and buses. 5 million square feet productive area for products of the Rootes Group. This skillfully designed Art Deco poster features all the facilities of the group in different parts of the UK and Australia: London, Birmingham, Manchester, Luton, Stoke, Brighton and Fishermen's Bend with headquarters in Devonshire House in the middle. Designed by Edgar Longman and printed for the Export Division of Rootes Group London by the Haycock Press in England. Reference number 1023EX. Great unfaded colours, bold graphics. Excellent condition. Some minor unobtrusive tears along margins.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
