Mount Kumgang Kongo San
Original vintage Asia train travel poster - Kongo-San Chosen (Korea) Keijo Office South Manuchuria Rly - issued by the South Manchuria Railway featuring a stunning scenic Art Deco design depicting a classic open top car driving on a winding mountain road between the dramatic jagged mountain peaks below a pink sky with blue mountains in the distance, the bold text on the green valley background below. The Kongosan resort became a popular tourist destination after the completion of the railways in 1908 and the opening of railway hotels advertised to foreign tourists following the 1915 Industrial Exhibition in Keijo. The rocky Mount Kumgang mountain massif / 금강산 Kŭmgangsan ranges from Tongchon County, Kangwon Province in what is now North Korea (divided after WWII and the Korean War) to Inje County, Gangwon Province in South Korea; designated a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2025. Good condition, restored creases, restored tears, restored paper loss on left edge, staining, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
