Original vintage travel poster for the Balearic Islands The Island of Wonders / Baleares La Isla de las Maravillas issued by the national tourist office of Spain Patronato Nacional del Turismo PNT featuring a colourful Art Deco design by the Spanish avant garde artist and graphic designer Josep Renau (1907-1982) depicting a scenic coastal view with a sailing boat at sea in front of cliffs lit up by the sun in the distance, the image on a pink shaded background framed by silhouettes of trees and rocks in the foreground, the title in bold lettering above and with the PNT logo below. Printed by Litografia Voluntad in Madrid. Good condition, restored tears, minor staining, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
