Rare original vintage travel poster promoting tourism to Bilbao Spain issued by the Spanish National Tourist Board PNT Patronato Nacional del Turismo - Besucht Spanien Bilbao Der Strand von Abra / Visit Spain Bilbao The Abra Bay - featuring a striking Art Deco design by Antonio de Guezala (1889-1956) with Cubist elements depicting a classic car and people in fashionable summer clothing relaxing in the foreground, a view of hills with colourful striped beach huts and sun umbrellas on the sandy beach and sailing boats at sea along the coast in the background, the German text in bold stylised lettering above with the PNT logo and below. Located at the mouth of the Nervion River the Abra Bay in the industrial port city of Bilbao in the Basque Country in northern Spain became popular during the 1920s as a result of a boom in the economy. Good condition, restored tears and loss on corners, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
