Original vintage travel poster - Visit Spain Santander Spend the Summer at El Sardinero - featuring an elegant Art Deco design by the notable Spanish illustrator Roberto Martinez Baldrich (1891-1959) for the Patronato Nacional del Turismo PNT depicting scenic artwork of the beach with holiday makers under striped sun umbrellas on the sand and walking along the coast leading to a view of the Palacio de la Magdalena palace on the rocky peninsula overlooking the Cantabrian Sea in the distance, a row of white bathing cabins next to the pavilion flying nautical flags by the promenade in the foreground with the bold text on the margin above and with the PNT logo below. The Sardinero beach in the Bay of Santander is a popular beach resort; in the early 20th century is was a summer destination for the Spanish aristocracy and royalty. Good condition, restored tears, restored creasing, restored pinholes, minor staining, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
