Original vintage post World War two poster for the 17th International Aviation Exhibition - 17eme Salon International de l'Aviation - held from 15 November to 1 December at the Grand Palais Paris featuring a great illustration by Paul Colin (1892-1985) depicting a propeller plane with various colourful flags of the allies including America and Britain on the rear body and the French flag on the tail fin, set on a light blue sky background. Printed by S.A. Courbet, Paris. Good condition, folds, pinholes, creasing, small tears, paper loss in top left corner, staining.

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
