Original vintage advertising poster for the Wiener Messe / Vienna Fair held 9-16 September 1951. Dynamic mid-century modern design by Victor Theodor Slama (1890-1973) featuring a convoy of trucks, coaches, trains, cars, a ship and a plane travelling at speed along a giant white arrow towards the Vienna Fair text below in stylised red and white letters, the colours of the Austrian flag. Good condition, folded as issued, repaired tears, faint cracks and creases in margins.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
