Soviet Circus Acrobat Air Gymnast Act
Original vintage Soviet advertising poster promoting a circus show featuring a stunning design depicting a spectacular aerial performance by two notable acrobats set against a dark blue and purple shaded background, the man swinging from a loop with one leg while holding the lady high in the air at speed, the цирк / Cyrk / Circus title above and text below in stylised writing with the acrobat names in bold: Gymnasts under the circus dome Elena Lebedinskaya (Елена Лебединская) and Pyotr Schetinin (Петр Щетинин; 1909-1990) - who worked together from 1946-1954 on complex aerial acts including their Flight On A Ball performance at the 3rd All-Union Exhibition of New Circus Art in 1946. Very good condition, small bumps and faint staining in margins.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
