Original vintage advertising poster for a Rik Wouters art exhibition at the Musee National d'Art Moderne / National Museum of Modern Art 5 October to 17 November 1957, featuring a 1912 painting by the artist entitled Verjaardagsbloemen / Birthday Bouquet depicting a lady seated at a table admiring a bouquet of roses in a vase with pears and a book on the table, a grey cat under the table in a colourful room with the text below. Hendrik Emil Wouters (1882-1916) was a Belgian painter, sculptor and draughtsman. Published by Les Presses Artistiques, Paris. Very good condition, minor creasing.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
