Hindenburg Cigarette Cards
Original vintage advertising poster in German for Sturm Cigarette Cards - Hindenburg The Great History - featuring a black and white drawing of a man smoking a Trommler cigarette in his office and putting images into a photograph album with portraits on the wall behind him and books and an ink well on the desk in the foreground and, below, smaller photo images with descriptions found on the cigarette cards relating to Hindenburg including a portrait of the Hindenburg family in 1880, the President of the Reich visiting Tannenbergfeier and Hitler shaking hands with the President of the Reich, with the text and prices in stylised coloured and black letters with the SA logo below. Sturm-Zigaretten (Storm Cigarettes aka the Storm Troopers' cigarettes; 1929-1935) were manufactured to support the NSDAP Nazi party's paramilitary unit, the Sturmabteilung (SA; aka the Brownshirts); the company also produced a set of cards for the German Army featuring different army and military images from history. Very good condition, folds, faint creases, minor tears and staining on margins.

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
