Guinness Keeps Its Head Alice In Wonderland
Original vintage Guinness drink advertising poster featuring a fun and rare Alice in Wonderland themed illustration depicting a conversation between the Queen of Hearts and the King of Hearts with Alice looking at a glass of Guinness beer and The March Hare and an executioner in knight's armour on the other side, the text surrounded by more colourful cartoon images of the characters created in the 1865 book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by the well-known English writer Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson; 1832-1898), the bold black lettering in the centre and bold title in red below reading: Off with its head! cried the Queen 'Nonsense!' cried Alice, 'Guinness keeps its head!' 'Yes,' murmured the King. 'This characteristic creamy foam appears like magic and lingers - like - like 'The grin of a Cheshire Cat,' said Alice. 'Come and play croquet,' roared the Queen. 'Guinness builds muscle for sport ... Guinness keeps its Head!' The Executioner made away with Guinness - head and all. Guinness Keeps Its Head. Printed by Dangerfield Printing. FAQs

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
