Original vintage poster for the 1931 Exposition Coloniale Internationale / International Colonial Exhibition held in Paris featuring a stunning graphic illustration of a French soldier in an army helmet against a blue background with the Art Deco style text above and below in red and blue letters. The Paris Colonial Exhibition was held for six months to display the diverse cultures and resources of the French colonies. Artwork by Jacques et Pierre Bellenger (b 1909). Published by the Republique Francaise / French Republic. Large size. Very good condition, restored fold marks, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
