Original vintage poster featuring a collage style illustrative panel by the American artist Bess Bruce (1876-1966) depicting a group of Eskimo ladies and their children fishing on a snow covered frozen lake with the mothers carrying their babies on their backs, the caught fish lying on the sides of their ice holes and the sledge dogs resting on the ice with pine trees on the horizon. Published by the Harter Publishing Company as part of a series of panels illustrated by various artists entitled Children of Oriental Lands. Printed in the U.S.A. Horizontal. Good condition, folds, small holes in corners, the colour parts of the poster have been glued onto the background.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
