Original vintage advertising poster published to promote the anniversary exhibition held from 5 May to 28 July 1968 at the Wurttembergische Kunstverein in Stuttgart to celebrate 50 years of the Bauhaus movement. Iconic design featuring a minimalist composition of colourful geometric shapes against a blue background, by the renowned Bauhaus artist Herbert Bayer (1900-1985), with the title above in stylised letters. Published by the Wurttembergische Art Society Stuttgart. Good condition, folded as issued, creases, minor tears in margins.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
