Rare original vintage poster: Aviation 1908-1928, 20 Years Later - Plus de sceptiques, Joseph Prudhomme...mes fils, lui-meme, court prendre l'avion! Printed for l'Exposition Officielle au Salon de l'Aeronautique. Great design by Georges Villa commissioned by the Comite Francaise de Propagande Aeronautique to commemorate the 65,000 km round-the-world flight by Costes and Le Brix in 1928 and Farman's success in 1908. Image of a man wearing a hat and carrying an overflowing bag, telescope and umbrella running towards a plane with another plane flying overhead. Good condition, restored loss on margins.

Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
