Original vintage food advertising poster for Bertozzi Parmigiano-Reggiano an Italian cheese maker based in Parma "A nose for quality since 1901". Colourful iconic artwork by the notable poster designer Achille Luciano Mauzan (Achille Lucien Mauzan; 1883-1952) depicting three judges with large noses smelling a piece of freshly sliced Bertozzi Parmesan cheese approving its quality and authenticity, set against a red background with the text below in stylised green and yellow letters. Printed in Italy by Mauzan Morzenti, Milano (the Mauzan-Morzenti Agency was established by the artist with Angelo Morzenti, publishing his own posters from 1924-1927). Large size. Excellent condition, minor repaired tear in right margin, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
