High Society Art Deco
Lithograph drink advertising poster believed to be created in the 1980s in a classic Art Deco style, signed and dated Sane 1928 - High Society, l'aperitif des gens chics (an aperitif for the chic). Great image featuring a stylish lady dressed in 1920s fashion wearing a long beaded necklace and sporting a short bob haircut and a gentleman wearing a monocle and black tie (tuxedo), both holding martini shaped cocktail glasses. This poster immediately became very popular and rarely comes up for sale. Excellent condition, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
