Original vintage London Underground poster for the Art on the Underground series - Art At The Royal Academy nearest stations Green Park, Piccadilly Circus - featuring a pub landlady pulling a pint of beer with customers in the background and flowers in the foreground viewed from a person reading a newspaper with a drink on the side. Artwork by the British painter Ruskin Spear (1911-1990) entitled The Barmaid. Commissioned by the Royal Academy and London Underground. Very good condition, light creasing, light folds.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
