Original vintage car advertising poster for the iconic Citroen 2CV6 Special featuring a colourful and fun design - Les Aventures de la 2CV et de la Grotte Hantee / The Adventures of the 2CV and the Haunted Cave - based on the animated family comic series from the popular adventures of Tintin graphic novels by the Belgian cartoonist Herge (Georges Prosper Remi; 1907-1983) depicting a cartoon image showing Tintin leaning on a red 2CV car with Snowy looking up nervously from under the car at a man holding a spear behind the rocks in the foreground, while Captain Haddock points at a crab on the side, a ship anchored at sea in front of tropical palm trees in the background and the Citroen logo below with 2CV6 as the car number plate. The popular French 2CV 'deux chevaux' car was manufactured from 1948-1990 by Citroen (founded 1919); the 2CV6 model was produced from the mid-1970s as a more modern 602cc upgrade. Horizontal. Very good condition, double sided printing, minor tears on margins.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
