Original vintage World War Two movie poster for the Soviet film Жил отважный капитан / Brave Captain directed by Rudolph Fruntov about a nineteen year old lieutenant on a military patrol ship called The Beast in 1944. Dynamic design shows a captain of a ship speaking into a black hand phone with a dramatic background of soldiers shooting guns above and explosions with a battleship speeding across the sea below a red moon in the dark blue night sky, the bold title text in white and credits in green at the bottom. Very good condition, folds.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
