Original vintage winter sport poster for the 1978 Ice Hockey World Championships / Mistrovstvi Sveta v Lednim Hokeji Praha 78 held in Pragu, Czechoslovakia from 26 April to 14 May 1978 - At zvitezi sportovni pratelstvi a dobry sport! / And long live sports teams and a good sport! - featuring an illustration of a hockey player in uniform wearing a helmet and gloves skating at speed on ice skates holding his hockey stick above the caption in red, the event logo in blue above. Eight teams competed in this 45th World Championship event, which was won by the Soviet Union USSR team followed by Czechoslovakia in second place and Canada in third place. Good condition, folds, creasing, small tears.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
