Original vintage advertising poster for an art exhibition by Steinberg at Fondation Maeght 06570 Saint-Paul from 10 March to 20 April 1979 featuring an illustration of drawings of a lady and child in grey and a man wearing a suit and hat in brown with a lady in a colourful yellow, white, blue and red dress and hat, wearing heeled shoes and holding a blue handbag, in the style of the artist's series of social relationship artworks - Family Couple Brothers Uncles - the title text in French on the border above and below. Design by the notable American artist Saul Steinberg (Saul Erik Steinberg; 1914-1999), best known for his work for The New Yorker most notably View of the World from 9th Avenue. Excellent condition.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
