Original vintage advertising poster for an exhibition of work by Marc Chagall (1887-1985): The Painter and his Poems / Le Peintre et ses Poemes at the Galerie Schloss Greifenstein in Rorschach Switzerland from 11 November to 2 December 1978. Great black and white artwork by Chagall depicting a man and lady with animal and bird figures, a sun above and a city visible in the background, the text in stylised black letters. Printed by Rudolf Muhlemann Weinfelden. Very good condition, pinholes in corners, faint fold lines.

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
