Original vintage exhibition poster for Fotografie 1929 Ruckblick auf die legendare Werkbundausstellung in Stuttgart Fotoforum Kassel / Photography 1929 Review of the legendary Werkbund exhibition held at the Gesamthochschule Kassel university from 3-30 November 1976 featuring a photomontage of a man in the background, a hand holding a compass over graph paper grid lines with a circle and the letters XYZ on the side, the title and event information in typewriting style letters below. Established in 1907 the influential Deutscher Werkbund association of artists, architects, designers and industrialists aimed to develop modern architecture and good practical design under the motto Vom Sofakissen zum Stadtebau / From Sofa Cushions to City Building leading to the creation of the Bauhaus school of design and other similar organisations in other countries including Sweden, Austria and Switzerland. Good condition, folds, creasing, pinholes, tears, minor staining.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
