Original vintage movie poster for the classic comedy from the maker of 2001: A Space Odyssey and A Clockwork Orange, Stanley Kubrick's Dr Strangeglove (aka "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb"), starring Peter Sellers as Dr. Strangelove and George C. Scott as General 'Buck' Turgidson. Great image of two men, one with a lady's arm around him holding a martini glass, each on the telephone with the cords coming from the American stars and stripes flag and Soviet Russian hammer and sickle flag on a globe in between them, the text above. This 1964 political satire black comedy film is based on the book Red Alert by Peter George about the Cold War nuclear fears between the USSR and the USA. Artwork by the French illustrator, Tomi Ungerer (Jean-Thomas Ungerer; b. 1931). Good condition, folded as issued, staining.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
