David Bowie Diamond Dogs Peellaert

Sold

Original vintage rock music poster promoting David Bowie's concept album Diamond Dogs depicting the iconic and controversial image by the Belgian artist and poster designer Guy Peelaert (1934-2008) using a photo by the renowned British photographer Terry O'Neill (Terence Patrick O'Neill; 1938-2019) of Bowie's face on a half-man half-dog creature as the lead character of Diamond Dogs, Halloween Jack, lying in front of a sign reading The Strangest Living Curiosities next to two crouching figures looking out towards the viewer and other signs reading Rock and Alive in front of a city skyline. The popular English singer and song writer David Bowie (David Robert Jones; 1947-2016) produced this album as a rock glam vision of a post-apocalyptic world following the retirement from his alter-ego Ziggy Stardust including 1984 and Rebel Rebel on the track list. More information about our posters and service.

Are your posters originals?

All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
