Porsche 356 Opens The World
Original rare early vintage car advertising poster for Porsche - Offnet die Welt / Opens the World - featuring a bold graphic design by Hanns Lohrer (1912-1995), who worked on the visual identity of the Porsche brand worldwide during the 1950s-60s, depicting a red Porsche 356 sports car model set against a multicoloured split circle with the car and text below camels in the red section and cattle crossing the green and blue sections, the Porsche word logo along the bottom. Founded in 1931, Porsche (Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche GmbH) is a German automobile manufacturer specialising in high-performance sports cars, SUVs and sedans; the Porsche 356 sports car model was the company's first production automobile produced from 1948-1965 by Porsche Konstruktionen GesmbH (Austria 1948-1949) then by Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche GmbH (Germany 1950-1965), when it was replaced by the Porsche 911 model. Large size. Good condition, restored paper losses, backed on linen.

More information about our posters and service.
Are your posters originals?
All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
