Original vintage advertising poster promoting two four seater Volkswagen car models - Volkswagen 1500 Cabriolet 4 Sitze and Volkswagen 1200 Cabriolet 4 Sitze - featuring a dynamic design by Victor Mundorff (1897-1973) depicting four people in smart suits and fashionable clothing in the red car with its roof down looking at and waving to a couple in the white car driving at speed with the VW logo in white above. The 1500 Volkswagen Type 3 was produced as notchback, fastback and station wagon variants from 1961-1973; a prototype cabriolet / convertible version was introduced at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in 1961 with a few built by Karmann. The Volkswagen 1200 Cabriolet belongs to the iconic VW Beetle line, sold alongside the Type 3 series. Horizontal. Large size. Good condition, creasing, tears.

What is a lithograph?

Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
