Original movie poster for the French release of the 1962 film directed by Stanley Kubrick based on the novel by the Russian writer, Vladimir Nabokov, starring James Mason, Shelley Winters, Peter Sellers and Sue Lyon. Iconic image by the French poster artist, Roger Soubie (1898-1984), featuring a girl looking up at the viewer over her heart shaped sunglasses with a red lollipop forming a heart shape with her lips, with the tagline: "How did they dare to make a movie of Lolita?" (Comment a-t-on ose faire un film de Lolita?). Excellent condition, sold framed.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
