Original vintage music poster from the sixties psychedelic era featuring an iconic image of the influential musician Bob Dylan (Robert Allen Zimmerman; b 1941). This colourful design depicting Dylan's profile with swirling hair by the notable graphic designer Milton Glaser (1929-2020) was inspired by a self portrait of Marcel Duchamp; the poster was commissioned as an insert for positive publicity for Dylan's Greatest Hits album following the false rumours of his death after his motorcycle accident in 1966. Good condition, restored folds, small restored tears, staining, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
