Original vintage movie poster for the French release of the classic superhero film Batman based on the Batman television series, adapted from the DC Comics character, directed by Leslie H. Martinson and starring Adam West in the lead role with Burt Ward as Robin and Lee Meriwether, Cesar Romero, Burgess Meredith and Frank Gorshin. Colourful artwork by Boris Grinsson (1907-1999) featuring an image of Batman in motion in the centre with smaller images on the sides of a fight scene, the Penguin wearing a suit with a bow tie, top hat and monocle and holding a long cigarette holder and walking cane, Catwoman wearing a mask, Batman’s speedboat and helicopter and the title text below in stylised red and black letters. Printed in France by Imp. Nourisson. Good condition, folds, pinholes in corners, minor tears and faint creases on margins.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
