Original vintage military propaganda poster - Jeunes Choisissez L'Arme Blindee / Young People Choose The Armoured Weapon (Division) - featuring two soldiers standing next to the gun turret of a tank with one smiling and waving to the viewer and the other holding the top of the 1st Armored Division emblem, the French flag on the side and a silhouette of a horse rearing up on its hinds legs and whinnying in the background. The 1st Armored Division (1re Division Blindee / 1re DB) was formed during World War Two in 1943; the unit's emblem depicts the cross of Saint Louis and an M4 Sherman tank used by the Free French Armored Forces during WWII. Good condition, restored tears, minor creasing, browning, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
