Original vintage Pan American airways travel poster - To London by Jet Clipper Pan Am World's Most Experienced Airline - featuring a fantastic midcentury modern design depicting an iconic red double decker London bus approaching Piccadilly Circus with the conductor holding on to the pole by the back steps and reaching up to hold the ceiling strap-hanger formed as the O in London, the title text above on a blue background, with a city scene of buses driving by the historic Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain with its winged Statue of Anteros sculpture (known as Eros; completed 1893) and the illuminated advertising boards for Bovril, Schweppes and Wrigley's in the background, the rest of the text with stylised planes below. Good condition, small restored paper losses on edges, restored tears on edges, minor staining, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?
All antique and vintage posters listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity.
What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?

Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
