Original vintage dance event poster for the Festival Ballet Spring Season held from 22 April to 16 May 1954 at the Gran Teatro del Liceo Opera House (opened 1847) in Barcelona featuring fantastic artwork by the prolific Spanish artist Pere Clapera (Pere Clapera i Argelaguer; 1906-1984) showing a dancer in the foreground leaping up in a middle eastern style outfit evocative of the One Thousand And One Nights dress worn in the tale by Scheherazade with two dancers in the background holding pots on their shoulders against the shades of colourful stripes, the title text below and the theatre logo above. Good condition, folds, creasing, light stains.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
