Original vintage winter travel poster for Arosa Schweiz Suisse Switzerland featuring a fun and colourful design by the notable Swiss artist Donald Brun (1909-1999) depicting a fashionably dressed skier wearing a green headscarf and red top at the bottom of a snow covered slope, turning around and pointing to the tracks she left behind with a ski pole, spelling out the word Arosa from the mountain peaks with the O circling the trees and clock tower in the town, a bright stylised sun against the blue sky above. The resort town of Arosa is located in the Canton of Graubunden in the St Moritz region, popular for skiing and other winter sports as well as hiking and other summer sport activities. Printed in Switzerland by Frobenius S.A Basel. Good condition, restored tears on edges, minor staining, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
