Original vintage advertising poster for the International Exhibition of Urban Housing organised by the Ministry of Reconstruction and Urbanism and held in Paris from 10 July to 17 August 1947 at the Grand Palais and Court of the Queen / Ministere de la Reconstruction et de l'Urbanisme Exposition Internationale Urbanisme Habitation Grand Palais et Cour de la Reine Exposition Internationale Urbanisme Habitation featuring a great modernist design by Paul Colin (1892-1986) of a stylised figure in shades of red holding a new building and standing on a green grass landscaped city park with trees against the pale pink shaded background. Good condition, specks of foxing near the top edge, backed on linen with small tear on linen under image.

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
