Original vintage Dutch propaganda poster for Suriname and Curacao featuring a dynamic graphic design depicting a hand clutching a red and white flag of the Netherlands over a map with the bold black and white lettering above and below - Once acquired with blood and sweat for our people now betrayed and squandered. Located in South America on the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea the Dutch West Indies colony of Surinam (aka Dutch Guiana / Nederlands Guiana) and the Territory of Curacao and Dependencies / Curaçao en onderhorigheden were revised after World War Two in 1948 and decolonised in 1954; Suriname left the Kingdom of the Netherlands for independence in 1975 and the Curacao islands (Netherlands Antilles aka Dutch Antilles / Nederlandse Antillen) disestablished in 2010. Good condition, fold, staining, minor creasing, small paper losses, double-sided.

Are your posters originals?

All our antique and vintage posters, books, maps and prints listed on our website are guaranteed originals as detailed in their photographs and descriptions, and include a certificate of authenticity. 

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
