Original vintage Soviet movie poster for a World War Two film Moscow Skies / Nebo Moskvy / Небо Москвы based on the story of a fighter pilot hero during the Great Patriotic War air defence of Moscow in 1941, directed by Yuli Raizman and starring Pyotr Aleynikov as Lt. Ilya Streltsov, Nikolay Bogolyubov as Lt. Col. Balashev, Ivan Kuznetsov as 1st Lt. Cherbina and Nina Mazaeva as the medic Zoya Vladimirovna. Great artwork depicting the main character with a medal on his military uniform smiling towards the viewer from a circle in the centre with spotlights shining up from the historic Kremlin city walls in the night sky in the background, a Nazi German plane on fire plummeting to the ground and a Soviet plane flying above, the title text in bold white lettering over the red line. Excellent condition.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
