Built in 1934 for Southern Railway, the Twickenham train ferry served the Dover and Dunkerque route until 1939; she was converted into a minesweeper and renamed HMS Twickenham for the duration of World War Two (1939-1945); after the war she returned to her cross-channel ferry services until being scrapped in 1974. Printed by McCorquodale and Co Ltd London. Horizontal. Large size. Fair condition, restored folds, restored tears, some fold marks, unrestored tears, staining, creasing, backed on linen.

What is a lithograph?

Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.

With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography. 

Where do you deliver to?

We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
