Original vintage Art Deco travel poster for the historic spa resort town of Bad Teplitz-Schonau (Tschechoslov. Republik) in the Czechoslovak Republic / Teplice Czech Republic depicting a great design showing the transformation from severe physical suffering to radiant health through images of three figures, the man in the foreground shown bent double in severe pain and leaning on a walking cane, the middle figure beginning to stand upright with his cane lying on the stone, and the final man standing upright with joy with his arms outstretched on the stone block marked Genesung / Convalescence against a yellow shaded background, the bold title below and healing information on the side - Heilung von Gicht, Rheuma, Ischias etc. / Cure for gout, rheumatism, sciatica etc. Printed by Lith art institute and cardboard factory Bruder Willner Teplitz Schönau. Good condition, restored tears, backed on linen.

Are your posters originals?

What is a lithograph?
Most of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves drawing a reverse image of each colour onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, I believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £35 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
