Herman Louis Cesar Teirlinck (1879-1967) was an award winning Belgian writer; his play Ik Dien premiered in Brussels in 1923 to critical success; the play was an adaptation of the 14th century poem Beatrijs / Beatrice about a nun who falls in love with a man and leaves her convent but returns fourteen years later to discover that Mary (the Mother of Jesus) has been acting in her place. What is a lithograph?
Practically all of the posters found on our website are lithographs. This is a method of printing that involves carving each colour of the image onto a piece of stone. The poster sheet is then imprinted consecutively with a stone slab for each colour, creating a stunning and rich image.
With the exception of silk printing, we believe that other printing techniques do not deliver the same impact of colour as lithography.
Where do you deliver to?
We ship posters worldwide rolled in shock-resistant and hard wearing tubes. Unless specified otherwise, delivery is free within the UK and standard international delivery is £25 for orders placed via our website.
Can I visit your gallery?
Yes. Our gallery is based in London. Our address is 404 King's Road, Chelsea, London SW10 0LJ.
Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 10am-6pm; Saturday 11am-5pm (by appointment only on Sundays and bank holidays*).
